"After our first meeting, I knew I wanted Rosa Gibson of Austin Wedding Planners to be the coordinator for our wedding in December of 2012. She is extremely knowledgeable about all things wedding, and she goes above and beyond to treat her brides (and grooms!) as if they were a member of her own family. Although she was our "day of" coordinator, she helped me out with SO many things long before the day of! She always responded promptly via e-mail or phone about any questions I had throughout the planning process, helped me find vendors when I wasn't sure where to look, came to my food tasting with me when my fiancé wasn't able to, and even figured out how to tie the ribbon on my wedding gown when we couldn't get it to look right! There are a thousand other great things I could say about this woman, but all you need to know is that she will do an excellent job with your event. We're so happy we hired AWP by Rosa for our wedding, it was a beautiful night enjoyed by all!"

"I, as well, never intended to initially utilize a wedding planner, but my fiancé desired so. Since I was pretty much not too involved in the wedding planning process, I decided to give in to my soon-to-be wife and let her have help. "Rosa Gibson, Austin Wedding Planners, was our "day of" and "day before" wedding coordinator. We began using her in June for an early August wedding. While we had the vast majority of our venues, caterers and vendors lined up and already contracted she was able to add significant value to pulling all of them together and making all of it work. She already knew all of our vendors and venues, and worked with them in the past. Her past experience in the food catering part of the business was an enormous plus in helping us understand what works together and complex timelines.

The wedding attendees were all from out of town. She coordinated all of the transportation from hotels to wedding, rehearsal dinner, reception and back to the hotel. No one was left behind and the bus rides were a fun part of the experience! She is a "hands on" coordinator and uses her assistants to help pull things off but does not let them get too far out of her sight. Her coordination on the wedding day was perfect. Everything went off without a hitch on a schedule that was planned down to the minute. We did not have to worry about a thing. She was there behind the scenes getting everyone there on time and meeting the agreed contract."

"When my husband and I first started planning our wedding (June 2011) we were not wild about hiring a wedding planner. "Rosa Gibson- To say the least, she was a “Life Saver” for me while trying to plan my wedding. I was never one of those girls who grew up planning every detail of their wedding day. When the time came for me to plan my “big day” I thought- What the hey, I can do this…. Little did I know the time, stress and downright hard work that comes with planning an event like this. My husband and I had never been in a fight until it came to planning our wedding- what a nightmare. Five months before our wedding we decided it was time to call in for reinforcements. I googled Rosa and from our very first meeting, I knew she was the one for us. She has a personality that is warm and inviting and a smile that makes you feel so at ease. I needed lots of help and really didn’t know what to do next. As soon as I hired Rosa she swooped in and started taking care of everything. Rosa is, but I will try my very best. She was our wedding planner for our
wedding on October 22, 2011. We hired her for the day-of coordination
package in 2010.

Rosa provides exceptional service to her brides/couples without a doubt. She
is passionate, kind, creative, helpful, professional and overall exquisite.
She gets the highest rating that I can give her because she simply is the
best at what she does.

Rosa meets every brides/couples needs. If you have a question, she answers
immediately. She is professional in every sense of the word. She responds to
any contact very quickly and her phone calls are very constructive. Her
experience shows when she takes the lead in coordinating. After meeting her
the first time, we never had any doubts about her. What an amazing woman she
is.

She took the 'bad cop' out of our wedding planning for us. Instead of us
having to deal with bickering family and chaotic times, we got to relax and
breath during very stressful times. She stressed that it was OUR wedding not
our family's or friends. She understood that we wanted to take care of our
guests, but not let them intrude on the planning.

Everything that we asked of her, she took care of. She worked well with the
vendors, and we trusted her 110% with our wedding. She made sure all of the
little problems were solved and my groom and I never had to deal with
vendors or coordinating whatsoever.

Our wedding was perfection thanks to her. I couldn't imagine our wedding
without Rosa being a part of it.

I have to say that we were a bit hesitant about hiring a wedding planner, in
fact the groom and my mother were not too sure about it.
Rosa showed both my groom and my mother how much responsibility a wedding
planner takes off of the bride and groom. My mother and husband now praise
her for her work and how amazing she was on our wedding day.

to engineer a perfectly smooth, seemingly effortless wedding day for my
daughter last November on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Since neither my daughter nor I lived in Austin at the time of planning the
event, and we neither one had experience in planning weddings, my daughter
interviewed several possibilities and promptly decided to engage the
services of Rosa Gibson. She was a bright, positive influence on the entire
process. She had recommendations for vendors when we inquired but did not
push the services of any individual or company. She attended every meeting
with vendors, kept notes and followed up with emails to both us and to the
vendors.

Rosa kept us on a time-line and tended to the details we did not even know
existed. She was never flustered. When the venue was struck by lightning
and burned, she checked with other venues and met with us in looking at the
Plan B choice that the original venue had substituted for a reception
location. She was a priceless source of information, ideas, initiative and
encouragement.

The weekend was flawless--from rehearsal to Sunday brunch after the

"I found Rosa about 7 months before my wedding through some general internet
searches. My original plan was to meet with a handful of planners and then
make my decision, but after meeting with her I felt confident that she would
help me create the wedding my husband and I wanted. In our first meeting she
spoke about her extensive experience which was appealing to me because I had
almost no experience with weddings and what was considered appropriate, but
she also showed that she was open to any of my atypical/hair-brained ideas
and would help make them work no matter what I hired her for the Day of
Coordinating only, but she was with me every step of the way and was very
generous with referrals for DJs, caterers, etc. I booked everything myself,
but also provided her with all the contact information. In the weeks leading
up to the wedding date she made contact with the vendors to make sure they
were all on the same page and nothing would be missed.

I must confess that I started getting a little overconfident in my ability
to organize it all myself because I consider myself a very organized person
and near the big day I wondered if I really needed a planner. But on the Day
Of. I don't know what I would have done without her. Her presence was
calming to me and she was clearly in control of everything. If I had ANY
concern her name was on the tip of my tongue for the person to holler for
and when she said she'd take care of it. I felt confident it would be done.
The other thing about her that was calming on the day of was that she didn't
bother me with details. I only heard from her if something was unresolved.
This allowed me to focus on having fun and getting ready. I definitely
recommend Rosa for all your wedding planning needs and I encourage you to
pick her brain before booking any vendors.

"We used Austin Wedding Planners in September, 2010. Rosa Gibson was the
coordinator and she hired extra people. She was very prompt. On our wedding
day she was there before we got there and the last one to leave. She made
sure that the entire complex was exactly how we wanted it to be and they did
not charge us any kind of fees or anything. We did most of the wedding
planning she was kind to bear her services. She showed up and ran all the
different vendors. She went above and beyond in that she made sure that we

by Rosa owner, for all wedding planning events.

My daughter Christina & I had the pleasure & luck of securing Rosa Gibson as
my daughter's wedding planner. My daughter was getting married in Austin in
November, 2010, but was living out of state and needed her original wedding
planner to take care of all the wedding details for her. She hired her
original previous wedding planner in the Austin area in January 2010;
however, my daughter decided to go find another planner. It was only until
June 2010 when my daughter came to visit from Massachusetts that Rosa came
to our rescue when we called her. Even though Rosa already booked on my
daughter's wedding date, she still agreed to execute and coordinate all the
planning and have her two wedding assistants step in for the Day of the
Wedding.

My daughter & I immediately liked Rosa Gibson when we "met" her by phone. We
could tell that she was extremely personable, sympathetic, & willing to help
& please in any way she could. After we met Rosa in person, we only
confirmed what we already knew-that she was just what she presented to us on
the phone-a very detailed, organized, talented, & helpful wedding planner.

Rosa attended all the meetings we had at the Hilton Hotel with both mothers
of the bride & groom, as well as with the Hotel coordinator. There she made
sure she took down all the notes about the chosen meals, ballroom, set-up of
ballroom, band, flowers, etc. In addition, Rosa also attended the meetings
we had at the Church where my daughter's wedding was to be held. At one of
these meetings, we were able to meet with her two assistant wedding
assistants, Michelle & Kim, who would both be at the rehearsal, as well as
mainly at the wedding, (due to Rosa already being booked for another
wedding, as explained above). Furthermore, Rosa was always constantly on top
of things even on the Day of. In case her assistants needed her help! Rosa
went over & above her duties with us, and I am sure she will do the same
with all futures brides.

Therefore, it is my pleasure to highly recommend Ms. Rosa Gibson, Austin
Wedding Planners, owner, for any & all bridal wedding planning events. I,
as well as my daughter, know she and her two lovely wedding planning

"Hi Rosa - I wanted to write you a note that you might use for future clients who were interested in your wedding planning services.  We contracted with you for your "Day Of" services and could not have been more pleased.  I initially did not plan to contract for these type services but my husband thought it would be a good idea and in fact it turned out to be the "best idea."  On the last few days leading up to the wedding I was able to focus on getting a manicure and pedicure with my daughter and her friends, purchasing gifts for the bridesmaid luncheon, having a great time at the Rehearsal Dinner and totally enjoying the wedding day itself including the Ceremony and Reception, all because of the "Day Of" services you were providing.  You totally put me at ease that all the last minute chores and vendor coordination were being taken care of.  I appreciated you checking in with us the last few days to make sure we did not need anything and to assure us that you were taking care of your part.  The wedding and reception went off flawlessly.  You handled all the little things like reminding us to bring the programs to the church for the rehearsal, making sure the chauffeur knew where to deliver the bride and groom for their private dinner before the reception, being sure all the family keepsakes were used as planned for cutting the cake and the champagne toasts, making sure the family pictures and bridal portrait were set out, being sure the bubbles and favors were set out when guests were leaving.  You also handled all the big things like coordination of all the vendors (florist, caterer, photographer, videographer, cake supplier, band).  Everything and everybody was where it (or they) were supposed to be and on time.  At the very end of the reception, you helped me "remember" to make the final payments to the vendors and helped us load everything in our cars.  Your "Day Of" services are a must for anyone who wants to actually enjoy the wedding festivities.

Rosa - I can't thank you enough for everything you did to make Andrea's wedding special and making sure her Dad and I were able to actually enjoy it. You were so helpful and professional.  The reception was wonderful. We received so many compliments from friends and family. You made my day so enjoyable because I knew you were handling the
reception.
